hot start problem
ive been having a problem starting my car after it gets hot. it would crank but take longer and longer to fire. i figgured it was the solenoid, so i replaced the starter. but i'm still having the problem.
i was thinking of getting the battery checked today, but the car starts right up when its cold so i dont think thats the problem. anyone have any other suggestions?
car stats:
1987 camaro
350 (tired motor) w/ edelbrock 600cfm carb

when its hot, the starter toils and cranks slowly but the engine wont fire for 10-15 seconds. depending on how hot it gets, the the starter will crank slowly but die, and the car will not start (but starts fine when pop-starting it rolling downhill).
i thought it was heat soak. starter had a lifetime warranty so it wasnt a big deal, but i thought it would have fixed the problem.
sorry i should have worded my post more clearly.

i have that same problem, i have a remanufactured starter, and it's wrapped in a heat blanket, will start fine when cold, after it's hot it tries to turn then pauses and tries again and fires
