Anyone with R-4 A/C Compressor experience inside please.
Should I be able to turn my comp. over with a ratchet and a socket

Yes I did try to turn the comp. in both directions with no luck. Just rocks back and forth. Has anybody ever tried to turn a R-4 comp. over while its mounted on the eng. and fully charged? Would someone try to do that for me? If you could get back to me with that info I would be greatful.:hail:

Transmission: MD8 (700 R4) + 3.42 LS1 Rear
even fully charged you can turn the compressor with a socket + ratchet. it's toast. forget the reman four season crap too........ don't ask me how i know.

when u got to any chain store you look at the compressor say "murray" brand and look at the compressor itself it says remanufactured by fourseasons. all the R4 compressors i have put on my car remanfactured by fourseasons make a LOUD rattling noise when in use. they totally suck ***. even the A/C guy told me they suck ***.
