sparkplug wire
yesterday I went to Kragen to get a set of sparkplug wires. i wanted msd so the guy gave me the msd heli-core spark plug wire set pn 3177. I went to summit just to check the prices and i looked at application it said its only for 366-454 engines. will it still work on my car or do i need a different set? if i need a different set what will i need? the car its for is an 86 Iroc. Its a 5.0 fuel injected. Thanks alot for any help.

That's why I'm a fan of their universal sets... you cut the wire to the length you want, and then crimp the distributor-cap-side's end onto the wire. Makes for much cleaner wire routing- especially for a v8 and the inductive crossfire problem...
Universal for v8's is MSD # 31199 for the 8.5mm heli cores, and # 3119 for the old-style 8.0mm heli cores.
