universal megashifter?

My brother gave me a universal megashifter out of a Jeep CJ-7 he bought for parts.
It's the $99 one and it's for a tubo350 tranny, can I make it work and just get a universal boot for my console? Can it be adjusted where !st is actualy second or 4rth is neutral or anything that will work?

Trust me... with a ****y attitude only 4 hours after you posted your question, you're not likely to get a lot of help.

Trust me, I know there's not a god watching over the forums every second just waiting to answer every question I just figured as many people have them some one must have read over the post that could give me a little insight with the shifter.
Sorry for the attituide though, every one suffers from a little impatiance.

Car: 1986 Firebird
Engine: 2.8 V6
Transmission: 700R4
Well here's my shot-

I thought the megashifter worked for all the GM trannies... the 2004R, 350, 400, 700R4. Which $99 one are you talking about? (Part #?)

But I'd assume it's gonna be hell to put in the car.. not only do you need custom mounting brackets, but you have to make a console plate. I think the shifter stick is longer than B&M's console Megashifter.
