idle worse after AFPR and coil install

idle was somewhat erratic before but ever since i installed the regulator and MSD coil it seems to have gotten worse. now it surges up and down when i'm at a light and even stalls sometimes. i have the regulator set at 50 which is what's recommended. i'm wondering if either one of these things could cause a worse idle and stalling.

was thinking of replacing the IAC motor but like i said the problem seems worse now than before.

yah sounds like a vacuum leak with the idle going up and down.

an easy thing to do is clean out the iac passages, and the iac motor, i believe there is a tech article on how to do this.

yea i'm thinking maybe there is a loose hose somewhere that i didn't put back on. hopefully that'll be all. valve and passages i've cleaned before but i'm gonna check it again.

well i checked for vacuum leaks and didn't find any. set my timing back at 6 from 8 and replaced plugs. while doing that i noticed like 3 of my plug wires were touching the coil magnet. decided to reroute 'em and the car is now idling fine, no surging or stalling.
