Lookin for direction on performance build.

Give me advice on the next steps to take to finish my engine build.. Here's what I have so far... and don't bash my parts or C.I.D. okay.
__305 stock bottom end (65,000 mi. and used no oil)
__#113 stock aluminum heads ( pressure tested..valves and seats ground. .550 lift springs... milled .005 to clean up)
__comp cams 3100 timing set
__comp cams 268HE camshaft, pushrods and lifters
__ compcams 1.6 roller tip rockers
__ hedman short yeaders and Y-pipe
__ Weiand alum water pump
__ holley Street dominator intake (dual plane low rise)
__Accel Brute Thunder hei coil and Accel control modulator
* Motive 3.42's and a zexel takeoff

If you can steer me right from there ,then good deal. So can my computer be altered to handle these changes or will I have to get a performance carb ...How about the distributor...I need answers soon...Would hate to have to eliminate all that underhood wiring....looks impossible to unhook properly without cutting everything up. Looking forward to hearing from those experienced. If the computer won't deliver then what other parts do I need to line up.?

it's pretty easy to eliminate the ecm controls and wireing without making it looked hacked up. my guess is you can go either way and use the qjet and ecm controled distributor or eliminate it all and go non ecm controls on the distributor and carb. if it were me unless i was wanting it original, or close to it, i'd drop the puter controls.

thanks ede, I'll probaly try the stock carb and dist. at first...seems like some recommend changing rods and hangers?... What should I expect out of the cc dist? Will I have to get a performance chip to deliver the proper timing or is there a sensor that takes care of that? .....Others help appreciated

The stock CC distributor benefits greatly from aftermarket module and coil. New cap, rotor & wires, too, of course.

Good to know.. Five7, Got a few Accel products lined up..So the distributor will only advance or retard the timing depending upon a reading from other sensors.,right?.. Does the Ecm do the job that the old weight and curve kit once did? Just trying to understand the stock system..thanks

The ECM does the job that the weights and vacuum advances used to do.

I put a JC Whitney chip (believe it or not) in mine as one of the first things I did (back in '99). I haven't tried putting the stock chip back in to see how it acts with this combo. Also don't have any idea if it helped the stock combo, since I had a bad fuel pump when I put the chip and Super Coil in. I also haven't tried the stock module with the mods in the sig which I did in Nov '01. But, in this form it revs to 6300 RPMs without missing a beat.

Yeah , I'd say the stock components aren't worth going back in unless your aftermarkets were to fail. I'd like to know that I could reach those kind of rpms in a hurry...
