305mm tires are not going to like 9" wide wheels. The max I would go is a 285 on a 9". I am in the process of buying 18X9.5 wheels with P275/35ZR18 tires. 305's are happier on 10"-12" wheels...

Try 265/35s or 275/35s. I'm running 18 by 10s all around with 275/35s up front and 285/35s in the back. The rears rub a little when I hit bad dips and bumps in the road, but that's mainly due 2 the fact that I dropped the car nearly 2". I saw a Saleen mustang yesterday with the chrome 18s. He had 255/35s in front and 265/35s out back. It looked real nice but I don't know if u want 2 go that low with the 255/35s.
