I hooked up an analog Voltmeter that measures 0-1.5V. One wire pegged out the meter, I assume that is the constant 5V one. The next wire showed nothing, I assume that's the ground. The last wired showed a slight voltage and as I slowly moved the throttle up the voltage stayed the same. Does this mean it's dead?

I have the same problem with a new TPS. I believe that you push on the lever directly over the tps to get the wot reading-not on the throttle. If you push on this lever and the voltage changes then your TPS is good. The book says to set the voltage to .48v (mine is to .5v) with the key on and the car not running. If you're still unsure take this post to the carb board and ask Ed Maher. I haven't gotten around to it yet.

you have to move the throttle blade to get an accurate reading and not the tps lever
at closed the TPS should be under 1.25 volts to prevent an error code on TBI. I set mine at .9 volts
as you open the throttle it should be a steady increase up to and past 4 volts to reach WOT mode. if this isnt happening either the TPS is maladjusted or its bad

I moved the throttle linkage to open up the throttle blades and it stayed the same. Do you think this would cause hesitation under 2000rpms? I am going out to test it again and try to get the voltage to move, probably will have same results since last time I even unscrewed the TPS and moved it back and forth within the adjustment range. Thanks-mik92

that could do it, less pump shot if the tps isnt working right
