§ Drag Tire Sizing §
I don't know drag tire sizing, like MT's ET Drag Slicks. Suppose a tire is sized 28 x 11.5-15. I'm sure the 15 is the rim size it needs, but other than that, I can only guess. Can someone enlighten me as to what each number means? Thanks a bunch

28 is the overall tire height and the 11.5 is the section width, the widest part of the bulge as measured on the recommended rim width.

I hope you make about 600 pounds of torque if you are going to use a 28 inch tire with 3.23 gears. ![](https://www.thirdgen.org/forum/biggrin.gif)

I have no intention of using slicks at all. I was just curious as to what the sizing was on them

The ET drag and ET Street tires are a little different in the measurments. Since the ET Streets are a DOT approved tire the width (11.5) is the width of the tire at the sidewall bulge. The ET drag if using the same 11.5 size is the width of the actual tread.
