T-5 install in place of 700-r4
how much work has to be done to complete this:?????

Read the tech article on this, it is a good guide but there are a few details left out. I did this swap a few weeks ago. It really isn't very hard. You do have to take the steering column out, but not all the way. You don't have to romove the brake booster. The padding under the carpet should make a perfect template for the master cylinder hole. You will need to replace the starter and mounting bolts. They are different on manual tranny cars. Don't forget a new pilot bushing because you don't have one in there and it makes weird noises. Finally, it won't start when your done because you need to connect the two big wire that go to the auto shifter. Then it should start right up. Those are the little things I ran into. Good luck.
