350 heads on 305?
Is it possible? Would I even want to do it? Would there be any performance increase? Or would the compression be way too low?

Compression would be an issue, unless you had them milled, and what they started at 64cc would be ok to start with, anything bigger I would avoid.
Also depeneds on your engine to start with does it ave flat tops pistons or dished?
What is the 350 head your thinking of GM or Aftermarket? Casting numbers/specs??
need more info, chances are it isn't worth it, but if you have a freakish good head (L98 Alum/AFR/TFS) then it might be?
oh ya anything with 2.02 for intake won't work.

Not that I've seen. I never checked though. Where would they be?
I'll check the next time I go to the car(its at a friends house).
The parts car is a '86 but I didnt think there were 350's in the '86 model year.
I have a '89 305 TPI. I dont know what pistons are on it though.

89 305 is flat top pistons, 9.3:1cr if the engine is still an 86 the heads won't swap different bolt pattern, also 86 didn't have a 350 so it would be a swapped engine.
If you decide to take the heads your manifold won't work, or valve covers plus a alot of other hassles jst to get them to work.
To many things to change, I would say take your heads off that you have and port the $hit out of them use either the Tech article on this site or Sitting Bulls Sig link, cut for 1.94 intake and your stock heads will support over 300hp.
Find out what the casting # is and check them up on www.mortec.com
