Damn car idles at 2200 RPM!!!!!!!!!!
I pulled my plenum off to fix a fuel leak the other day, and since I put it together, the car idles at 2200! When I start it, it goes down to normal, but as soon as I start driving it's like I've got the cruize on, and when I throw it into park, it jumps right up to 2200 and stays there. Yesterday it did it at 1800, now today it's up to 2200. If I have unmetered air getting in through the plenum gasket, wouldn't it cause the idle to be erratic, not to stay constant at 2200? The car seems to run fine and drive fine except that it's got a super high idle. Any ideas?

That might be likely, but also I had a tear in the gasket between the Throttle Body and a spacer, caused a high idle too. 1700 rpm as I remember. Took a long time to find that was the problem. Kept looking for another source of the leak as I thought I had put in the gasket without tearing it.

Installed new plenum gaskets to no avail. While it was running I saw that the throttle linkage wasn't fully closing after I started the car, but with the car off it would fully close. I unkinked my cruize control cable and then it worked fine.
