All the 83-97 or so driveshafts are basically the same, 700R4, 4L60E, T56 and T5 driveshafts are all the same. Its anybodies guess on the LS1 cars though.

Apparently there are different part numbers for 93-97 autos (12554454) and manuals (12554456). LS1 has a P/N of 12559525. There's even a first design in the first part of 93 (26004464). If the shafts are interchangeable in those years--93-97--why the difference in part numbers? Frankly, I don't know with certainty if the above numbers are even alum.

I e-mailed Dal at VanDevere Oldsmobile about prices on new driveshafts for my '91 and my roommates '96 Z28 before I bought one from you. The part number is the same for both. At the time, we both had A4s. I didn't ask if the part number is the same for the T56 in the '96, but it did fit with no problems once we did the swap.
