fuel tank vent valve source

Is the plastic fuel tank vent valve (GM PN 10033125) a dealer only item or should I be able to get one from any parts house (AutoZone, etc)?

I found that mine is leaking liquid fuel when I pull into my driveway...with about 1/2 a tank in it no less. Hopefully by replacing it my gas smell problem will go away.

Are you talking about that little breather looking thing that plugs into one end of the fuel line under the tank? My wife's cousin dropped my tank to replace the pump and forgot to put it back on. Stopped a gas station for fuel and started leaking. Plugged it up with vice grips and continued the trip. Not sure if it's a dealer only thing or not.

That's the piece I'm talking about. I've got one on order from Dal, should be here Monday.

Ahhh... The infamous "Taco Bell" valve, which, when the diaphragm begins to dry out, exhibits a rather offensive and disgusting noise as the air or fuel vapors are vented into and from the tank.

How pricey was the little sucker?

No noise from mine...

Mine's not making a sound but it's allowing liquid fuel out when I'm under 1/2 a tank. No place else on the tank is wet nor can I find evidence of a leak anyplace but after a hard stop, big bump, or pulling into my drive way that valve is wet and sometimes there's even a small pool of liquid gasoline.

I don't have the price yet (price didn't matter, it has to be replaced). I'll have the invoice from Dal when it shows up and let everyone know what it cost.

That's not a bad price.
