will 89-92 tpi throttle body work on 88 and older??
Guys, will an 89-92 TB work on an 88 or older TPI setup? Is there a difference in them? I thought the only differences was in the MAF vs speed density stuff. Help please. Looking to buy a TB but want to make sure it will work on my car first.

Since my 2.8 V6 GM Celebrity 1988 was updated at factory in Canada, from MAF to Speed Density with a 1990 TB, I think it's possible (GM used a 90 TB model 700 into a 88 engine equipped with the original 88 TB model 300).
But note that the IAC valves connectors are differents. You can view the connectors at www.acdelco.com (Chev. Celebrity 1988, electrical, IAC conn. v/s 1990).

yes they work fine, you need to change your throttle cable though, when I did mine I had to get it from the dealer, then I just used my Iac plate from the 88. No big deal its what they tell you to do any way
