Hmm Help out with mods :-)
Well guys, i wanted to know what everyone thinks would be some good mods for my car. (ignore the sig. at the bottom those arnt accurate). I got a 350ci rs with a 600cfm edelbrock performer on it. Its got headers on it and it has 3" exhaust. so no exhaust stuff. But when i obught it the guys had put on the old 305 distributor and spark plug wires. Im planning on puting in some new bosch 4 plugs with some msd 8.5 wires. ANd putting in a new gm hei distributor. What kind of gains can i find from this? and sumtimes when i drive the car it feels real powerful but other tmes it will feel like it has nuttin. Could this be from the ignition and iwll the above mods help? Plus i plan on getting a 14x3 air cleaner with kand n. What kinds of gains from this assuming that the igniton is a 305 computer controlled dist?

Your mods will definetly help, but what was the 305 originally, was it a L03 (305 TBI) because if he reused the old distributor on that one, than it is a computer controlled distributor, and you are getting no timing advance whatsoever throughout the powerband. Good luck,

k one more thing
SUmtimes my car will run pretty good(not tuned yet or nuttin so it can run betta) but sumtimes it will run with like no power at all it feels espically at the 2500+ rpm range would no timing advance or an old dist. be causing this. also sumtimes when i like barely push the gas ill get this voom like noise(hard to explain its kinda like a whistle) could this be from the distributor. thanks guys jsut wanting to make sure before i buy a new 200 dollar dist.

You will see a vast improvement with an non-CC distributor, a CC-distributor will run like crap, if at all.
