no-start condition
No, it's not my car, it's the replacement Cavalier for my wife's daily driver. We're looking at a '91 Cavalier wagon with a 2.2L 4-banger. I've checked spark, fuel, switched coil packs and module with the one that runs, switched computers, and shot some ether into it. It gives no indication to me as to why it won't start, and I'm out of ideas. Anyone have any ideas?

1st: 3rd gen resource site. Not only will you not get as much response here as to say a cavalier site, but your question is out of place.
2nd: If you are going to at least ask a question like this in here, then at least tell us it will crank yes or no, and other inputs.

Get off your soap box and give the guy a break. He's a fellow member that needs a hand.
When you turn the key to 'on', what happens? If the lights come on and the gauges read then the cylinder is good. If not, that could be your problem. If the cylinder is good, you may want to check the ignition switch if the cavalier has one. I know the fbodies do. Try this. Run a wire from the battery to the starter motor's 'switch' terminal. Turn the key on, then flip the switch. The starter should turn over and if the engine starts, then the ignition switch is your problem. Same thing happened on my 'bird and I've been using the "ghetto switch" for months now
