torque converter lock up switch help
I recently did a motor swap on my 88 camaro sc, Im now running an edelbrock 600 and hei, I did what the tech article said to do about making a switch to lock up the converter but it dosent work. I used a lighted switch and heres what happens if i flip the swich it lights up but nothing happens but when i step on he brake the swicth light goes out until i let off the brake again, then it lights back up. I dont have the money for a lock up kit right now so i really got to get his working. What does everyone think it could be? All help is appreciated, thanks.

I believe power comes thru the brake switch (with brakes not being used), down to the tranny, thru the solenoid, back up from the tranny and gets a ground from the computer when the computer thinks it's time to engage the TC clutch.
Your switch should be installed so it gives the solenoid a ground.
Sounds like you may have installed it between the brake switch and the solenoid.
