800HP 250 shot of NOS honda civic!
800HP and then a 250 shot of NOS.
A friend of mine, who is an avid car builder, has had a few things with some rather pounding numbers for the car. And proof to back them up.
Well, he told me about a 84 honda civic he built. Now it wasnt the stock engine obviously. He had a special order 4 grand engine block sent from Japan. 4 cylinder. And in order to withstand the power, he had the whole engine dipped in titanium. Everything was beefed up, some things for drivetrain out of a dodge truck, etc. etc. Not a riced out, all performance.
Never lost a race. I didn't ask about 1/4 times, I was more curious on what he actualy did to it. I'll ask tomorrow if I see him.
Price for the project? $42,000!!!!!!!!
It was his entire colledge fund! Good use of the money huh? LOL
Yes he does feel stupid about it, but he didn't car about it, at the time.
Now is this all 100% fact? I don't know. But he's on the level.

This goes to show you what the difference is between imports and real musclecars.
If you took 42 grand and put it into a chevelle, cararo, etc. all performance (not looks). It would be one bat out of hell!
But he's also done domestic cars. He had a 635HP 82 IROC. And he's fixing to get a '32 Ford coupe and build it up.
I just thought that was interesting. Please don't flame me, I hate imports with a passion. He's got some pictures and papers he's going to show me on his stuff. I want to see if this is fact.
