Its a 255 LPH Walbro in-tank pump. Its a "high pressure" ( i assume for TPI setups) pump, and it says for "82-02" camaros, including Lt-1 and Ls-1.
sound right? The guy wants $100 for it.

there are two 255lph pumps, a regular one and a 'high pressure' version which is made for engines with power adders. they're both for tpi applications, though. $100 is a good price for that pump NEW. i got the regular 255lph from http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/
you might also consider getting this wiring kit: http://www.racetronix.com/product/RX..._Pump_Kit.html
i'm making my own cuz i have a lot of wire and a weather pack relay lying around

okay its about time for me to get a fuel pump for my TPI swap car, er...
It has TBI in it now. I know I've gota replace the pump...
but can i use the existing wiring and just install my new TPI wiring harness and go? do i NEED the racetronix setup to make it work "right" ?
If i get just the fuel pump, I can use my existing TBI unit's sender and fuel lines right?

I just this afternoon finished swapping in my part# 340 Walbro 255 high pressure pump kit from Auto Performance Engineering referenced above.
It was a total bolt-in with the parts they include...tank o-ring, filter sock, wiring harness pigtail (Walbro pump uses different connector than the original), hose and clamps to replace the pulsator. If you buy just the pump by itself, you'll be thrashing around searching for these misc pieces.

So i should get the racetronix kit to make things pop in place easier, because I dont have any of them on my existing TBI pump?
also this will eventually feed a 500-700 horsepower forced induction motor, will the factory pickup and in tank lines and stuff be adequate?

The stock fuel line "necks down" right before the pump, you can cut that off if you want.
A TPI pump will literally snap in place of the TBI pump, you don't need the kit, and it has nothing to do with the fit of the pump, it's just a nice way to run your pump power![Smilie](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
As for the fuel line size, I don't know.

run power? the power lines for the stock pump will not work as good? i heard about voltage drop to the stock pump because of the wiring....
is it hard to re-wire the pump with thicker wire? is it necessary?
thanks for all the help so far, ill proabably just get the walbro by itself and see what happens.
and on the walbro, whats the life expectancy of these things?

I'd really get the kit and spend the extra $10 or so.

Guess you're not actually digging into the links people provided above, so here ya go:
$108 at Auto Performance Engineering gets you the high pressure 255 pump kit complete...$93 for the regular pressure 255 pump kit complete.

nono, i saw that one i checked it out, the "kit" im talking about the racetronix kit, thats the one im asking "do i really need it"
no i would definetelly get that pump from APE no doubt.
i may order it tommarow, i just wanted to know should i spend the extra $60 or so on the racetronix is it worth it...
and one more thing, the 2 pumps
FPG002 - $93
FPG003 - $108
I dont have forced induction YET but I will around a year from now. Will the $108 one work with a N/A Setup until i bolt on the procharger? I wont over-stress it or anything will I?

Understood. I'm a happy user of the Auto Perf Eng kit and recommend it. The only parts I added were an extra pair of hose clamps for the pump-to-hardline hose...I doubled up just to be sure it was never coming loose.
The extra wiring that comes w/ the Racetronix is likely overkill, definitely not needed in my case and I'm making over 350hp at the crank. Given the 340 high pressure pump needs less amperage @ 50psi than the regular pressure pump, the argument for bigger wiring just isn't there IMHO.
