going tpi to carb...stuff for sale
ive been having too many problems with computers in general and i plan on going from TPI to carb. i plan on selling the whole upper half of the engine. the runners, plenum and base are all in great shape and it comes with 24# SVO injectors. the EGR, TPS and IAC are brand new. the injectors have roughly 10k miles on them while the rest of the engine (L98) has 88k (1989 trans am). the heads will be for sale too. they have been completely cleaned up and redone around 1,500 miles ago. along with this i want to sell my vortech v1 s-trim that has around 11k miles on them. so if youre interested in getting your hands on any of these email me at simple@hawaii.rr.com
dunno what ill be asking for them yet but if youre interested, make an offer. i live in hawaii and shipping will be done according to your needs...
so anyway, once all of that is gone, i wanna get a good pair of heads. what would you gusy recommend? i want to keep it under or around $1,000 if possible. as for the intake and carb, ill probably go with an edelbrock peformer setup. the rest of my engine was rebuilt about 1k miles ago so all i need are a new set of heads, intake, carb and a few other things. if you have any suggestions please fill me in....thanks for your help

if you can i would go with the ARF 190 heads if not search for some Sportman II heads, used or new and if used just have them rodone from a machine shop. and you will love the performer intake if you get it, nice and long/VERY flat torque curve.

thanks for the input there squeekz. dunno bout the sportsman II's but im interested in either cast iron vortecs or the aluminum fast burns. dunno yet though.....
