Could some tell me what they would expect to see for power numbers from this set-up:

hydraulic roller cam 230/236 .510/.520 112LSA
10:1 comp
750cfm carb
RPM air-gap intake
1 3/4 LT headers

In the 400's I agree. Let me run it through the 'oh so accurate' desktop dyno... lol.
<time elapsing>
I don't even know why I bother those numbers are off I think...
I guess I'd say a low estimation of around 390 horses to a high estimation of around 450 horses.

Car: 87 IROC Z-28
Engine: 406-Mini Ram-AFR 195's-DFI Gen 6.32
Transmission: 700-R4 w/Art Carr converter
Axle/Gears: 9" - 31 spline - 3:89
I have a 406 with 195AFR heads, Crower 230/236 547/553 lift 112LSA, MiniRam, 30# injectors, 1 3/4" headers. The car weighs 3720 and runs 11.80's @ 116. I caculated the horsepower by to formulas using the weight and MPH in the quarter. One came out to 437hp and the other 442HP so that is about 510 to 515 at the flywheel.

Wow another one. Who are you calling amature? Too many imature people on these boards nowadays. Ask a simple question and for what reason was there to start being a d!ck? If you have never been around cars and couldn't make an educated guess why not admit you know nothing and not post?

I was next to super83z' car when he dynoe'd back in October, I can't remember the results but he was sorta dissapointed. He's just wondering what you guys think that combo will make, thats all.

Should make 425 at the crank easy, I'd expect to see around 320 or so at the wheels. Should be just about a no-brainer to tune unless there's some part broken somewhere.

i'd have no problem admitting if i knew nothing about cars, but i know more than my share. and yes amature is the right word. anyone that has done this long enough and know's the parts they picked well enough doesn't have to ask what it should be making. why don't you post the numbers it dyno'd at?

He posted them over at camaroz28.com. I dont know the torque but it was I think it was 320 rwhp. He also said that his exhaust necked down to a 2.5 inch piece of pipe after the y pipe so I think that was probably his main problem.

The torque was 380. Man no one is forcing you guys to post if you don't like the topic then move on. I got some guy running 15's in a Sonoma talking about knowing his fair share

lol, you think this is the only ride i've owned? it's by far not the fastest. aside from my personal rides and other rides i've built, your 406 isn't that impressive. posing a challenge to me isn't going to get you anywhere as i can back it.

if you've owned 8 second cars, you obviously bought them, not built them. you now have a 406 cubic inch small block with a pretty nice selection of aftermarket parts on it that makes around the power as a really good LS1 does stock. any 1/4 times from this monster you built?

Not very good at sensing sarcasm are we? Must be preoccupied thinking about all those "rides" you have built.
