Car: 1988 IROC-Z
Engine: L98 (350 TPI)
Transmission: MD8 (700 R4) + 3.42 LS1 Rear
Nice combo. It would a extremely nice setup to have.
i'd have to agree. and it's only a LO3. you can buy a tpi 305 for alot less and not much more mileage. a rebuilt L98 would run right around that area.

Car: 1989 TransAm GTA
Engine: One sweet modified 355 TPI.
Transmission: The kind that shifts....
Remanufactured TPI 350 long block. $1,127 dollars. Usually add a $200 core charge on that, and about $245 for shipping. Thats with a warrenty too.
I know, I just bought one. ^_^

hmm, sounds like my engine, not bad per se, i regret paying for it though. I've gotta change it to really put out now, it doesn't deliver near what i'm looking for, so i'm gettin a 284 cam, forged bottom end, new intake and a big ol' bottle of giggle juice...i hope your happy with a combo like that though, it runs nice, idles good, not a lot of lope, fairly speedy...you can take on quite a few mustangs with it 4.6's and older 5.0's are nothin...
why get forged rods and hypers?

i've got the extreme energy, comp XE268H, i wasn't questioning your crank, it just seemed odd to me that you'd run forged rods on hyperuetectics, the extra cost for the forged rods seems overkill because if your pushing enough power to tear up the stock rods, your pushing enough to tear up hypers, but obviously you've got your reasons, and they're good reasons...have fun with the build, and don't forget to post some pics of your progress
