Does GM make wire harness extensions?

Hey guys,
I have a 92 w/ a 3.1 in it and I was wondering if GM made wire harness extensions so that I can move my airbox sensor to the center of the car without having to cut the wires. I want to convert from the tube intake to the iroc intake, thanks.

No, but you can easily make your own. Get a male & female plug from a junk yard car or from a local parts store, get the proper pins at a local parts store, and get some wire. You can whip up your own in a couple hours.

Thanks guys, your answers were short, and what I needed. I guess I'll have to accept that they dont make them and I will probably go to a junkyard and get one.

Actually, have you ever taken apart a TPI unit with the MAT sensor underneath the upper plenum? The lead that goes to that is an extension. In other words, it can unplug at the trunk of the harness OR at the sensor itself. I believe that was to facilitate the removal of the plenum. Anyway, that should be the same connector, no?

I have one in a box, I'll take a picture of it tonight.

Of course, it's only a foot long, but it would be easier to cut and extend than your car's harness.

sounds good, its a basic two prong connector that is used throughout various engine electrical components

PimpRod,

The exact locations will probably be different on your car, but I've got all the part numbers and instructions here:

MAT Sensor Relocation.pdf

You can get the parts almost anywhere and won't need to cut ANY wires in your OEM harness.
