How Do You Burnout?????
I know how to burnout by dropping the clutch at a higher RPM, but how do you sit there and burnout for as long as you want? i.e. huge smoke clouds, etc.? Thanks

You have to be really good with your feet to do it with a clutch.
I've never really tried it, then again only stick cars I've had were 4 banger Stangs.

let the fluid out of your back brakes..
or get a line lock.
I sorta need a reverse line lock.. with the cold weather.. the nittos just roast in first and second.. and still part of third.

Step 1: Install big block, mash gas, replace tire.
Step 2: Install posi, mash gas, replace tires.
BTW: Heel on the brake toe on the gas? I gotta switch from boots to shoes.

This is one of those things I figured out on my own pretty much like anything else that was able to get me in trouble. I always just used one foot onthe gas and brake and the other on the clutch.

When I was young and stupid I owned a 83 rx7. The only way to get good smokage action was to haul *** backwards, shove it in first, and dump the clutch at 6000 rpm.
Otherwise known as reversage, driveage, burnage.
Relaced the clutch soon after.

I usually used drive. Just a warning though. THIS IS BAD FOR YOUR CAR in more than one way. It wears on your tires(obviously) and rear brakes, and can really heat the tranny up which is not good for it. I have done it many times in the past though.

Car: Accepting applications...
You poor kids that never burned tires before really need to get out and start doing it. Life is so beautiful when you are sitting there on a dark road with screaming rubber in your ears, and smoke rolling into the car....
I think everyone covered all the good points. Took me a few years to get really good with the stick, but now it is like second nature.
After years of burning rubber with my beast, I have been through countless axle seals, rear brake pads, and of course tires. I also broke the backing plates for my rear drums, twice. There is about 1/16 of an inch of tar and rubber permanently stuck to the OUTSIDE of my wheel wells.
If you burn alot, you will need to scrape the rubber out of the inside wheel wells on a regular basis.
I offer free burnout lessons in front of my house for all those interested.
