vacuum hose routing/delete

Ok, here is what I want to do. I want get rid of the lines that are red in the picture. I cant use the efe stuff anyway because of the long tubes. I would also like to get rid of the canister. If I did this could I run it like this or just put a breater on instead of the pcv and run the tank vent line straight to port L on the carb. Would this be the best way to run the vent line or should I hook it to something else. I would like to get rid of the pcv if possible, but it can stay if needed.

Thanks

Ben

Here is what It could look like. Let me know if this will cause any problems with the vent line setup.

i've done the same to my z28, plus i removed the EGR, PCV, and the hoses to the air cleaner. i took off the return fuel line too, and just pluged the line going back to the tank. i noticed no change in the way it runs, just a cleaner look engine bay but i'm no master tech, so you may want to hear from some one else before trying it

Thanks. Does anyone else know what I can do/what is safe to do with the vent line?

I ran my vent line into the fender that way any gas vapors go outside the engine bay.

So is there any dangers of running the vent line like that? Would it be better to run it in the fender or plug it? If it is plugged wouldnt it build pressure in the tank?

My car hasn't blown up yet. I didn't plug just for the tank pressure reason. Some do and haven't had problems.

Well its good your car hasnt blown up yet. I would like to know if anyone has any reasoning or better ideas though. I will probably just let it vent in the fender unless someone has a better idea. As far as the ports on the carb I should just get one of those cap kits right?

Well, I decided I am going to leave the tank pressure control valve and just run the line from it into the fender. Well, I am keeping the egr because it should help out with highway mileage and not hurt anything. I might get rid of it if I get an aftermarket manifold though. Anyway, here is the modified diagram of what is hooked up now that I got rid of everything. Its a hole lot simpler than it was though.
