Only thing I am using from it is the block. If I could go back in time knowing what I was planning on doing, I'd have just got a 4bolt main LT1 block, since almost everything on my LT1 is coming off.
I've got LT4 heads, LT4 Intake, LT4 Hotcam, Forged TRW Pistons, gonna get some Eagle Rods, new pushrods, possibly new lifters, I'd like to get a new crank, electric waterpump, etc....
I bought that complete LT1 for $1000, sold the heads for $125 and the intake for $75.

Mines a real sleeper, hehe.. no pics, but the 350 came out of a '79 Z28, but now has the deceased L69's aluminum intake, manifolds, carb, dual snorkel air cleaner/scoops and valve covers. Its not much for motor, prolly around 200hp/275ft-lbs but its a hell of alot more fun than the 305 it often passes for, hehe :lala:

... in the summer sometime, the 350 will be rodded-out a little more though. I plan on headers, true duals (sidepipes?) possibly a functional cowl hood (2.5"), new intake and probably a new cam and/or roller rockers.
i'm guessing that would boost it to about 275-315hp, no?

can someone tell me what exactly an "edelbrock performer rpm" manifold does?? why is it better? i have one on my car and i dont even know why. AND are Carter competition carbs any good? cause i have a 4bbl one and i dont know if i should upgrade.

Dang I lost all my pics of my engine... maybe there are 1 or 2 if you do a search on here lol.... I think I have to talk my friend into taking some pictures.
I have no dyno figures on my motor but I have been told anything from around 275-320 horse.
I believe the former because I need to get the $#%#@% engine tuned to to the computer.

Dang those lt1/lt4s sit low down in there dont they. Least you know you will never have clearance problems with the stock hood like I do. How hard was it to hook up all the wiring and stuff on the lt4?
#119
Hehe Yeah Hood Clearence will never be a problem.
The wiring is not to bad, Things go along better if you use a current FI car to do the swap on.

yes it's used as the same purpose as sand. But there are many types of blasting abrasives from glass, sand, plastic, to walnut shells. They are all used for different types of metal. Some would do damage to one kind of metal while the other type of blasting media would be fine. They all have their purpose.

Here's mine! I love opportunities to post pics of my engine
and
Holley says 425 HP at 6125 rpm and 425 ft lbs of torque at 4250 rpm or so....someday I'll get it on a chassis dyno and see what she's got at the rear wheels

Here's mine. Yeah, it's dirty. Been sitting at the exhaust shop waiting for me to bring new springs for header to ground clearance. Still a work in progress.
