Heater core R&R.
I looked it up in the Labor Guide at work today and there is a difference between 82-85 and 86-92. The 82-85 calls for 1.4 hours and the 86-92 calls for 3.9.
I think this can be very usefull if you have a shop do your 82-85 heater core and they try to charge 3.9 for a 1.4 job.

Hmm, I know on my '86, took only about an hr. Mainly , b/c I didn't have to take the dash off, only a small panel under the dash.

I haven't done it on a Camaro yet, but I've done it on 2 firebirds. It took about 2 hours each. You've got to be careful not to break the heater box cover though.

My '86 took about ½ hour to physically change the core (without removing the dash pad). Prior to that, I spent the better part of two hours making three trips to the parts store to get the correct replacement core - one with standpipes that would clear the back of the right head. It nearly took another hour to install the new hoses, just because I wanted new ones. In a "production-line" mode, it should be done in an hour or less. Somebody's gettin' pretty fat on the flat rates again...
