fan temp. sensor

O.K. it seems when you want to find the answer without having to ask, you cant. I bet if I wasnt looking it jump out at me; What is the brand and part# for the fan temp. sensor I need to get. I replaced my stat with a 180*

I've used an AutoMeter 3246 (203°-187°F) with my 180°F thermostat with good results. It has a 1/2" NPT thread (not 3/4" as I may have previously stated), and cost me $20.95 in 1999.

So this will cause the fan to come on at 203* instead of 225* rgt.? and off at 187*?

That's the theory. Actually, I was mistaken. The ratings are 200-187°F. I went back and looked at the receipt just to make sure I was correct on the part number. My temps always stay at 205° or below, according to the dash instrument.
