ARP rod bolt install after balancing?

I just got my block and rotating assembly back from the machine shop and ARP rod bolts wern't installed like I asked. My question is will I be able to install ARP bolts after the rotating assembly has been balanced? Also, the pistons are on the rods already, will that be a problem? Last one, is a rod bolt install something I can do at home? Thanks

ARPs are harder than hell to get in with the pistons on the rods. i made a little jig to hold them and use an air hammer since i can't come straight in with my press. after you install the bolts you should have the big end check and/or resized.

If you have a balance handy, you might want to check the bolts and select pairs that will match masses with the other pairs, or get as close as you can. I keep an Ohuas 3-beam balance with extra weight set handy to do the balancing myself, but I'm a cheap bastard.

Remeber -

* If the bolts are tight, Ede's right...

* Resize the bore, or you might be sore...

* Recheck the shop's work so you don't feel like a jerk...

(Sorry, but I'm just getting primed and ready for the Johnny Cochrane lines we'll probably be hearing soon. I'm guessing that he'll somehow be involved in defending the two snipers just caught in MD, and we'll be hearing all kinds of these quips. The whole thing was probably society's fault anyway. He got O.J. off, didn't he?)
