Max spring pressure
What would be the max valve spring press my stock (87 GTA eng) roller lifters can take?
I bought the 74211 Lingenfelter cam. (211/219@.050 .530/.560 w/1:6 rockers)
When I asked the salesman what open/closed valve spring pressures were recommended, he replied 120/~400.
When I called CompCams helpline, they said no hyd lifters would hold up to 400# of spring press.
CompCams recommended the 987's set to 1.800" installed height.
Anyone else running this cam with stock roller lifters?

400# is the outer limit for hydraulic lifters, and is probably too much if you use 1.6 rockers. The higher ratio rockers increase the mechanical advantage that the spring has on the lifter, and so multiplies the pressure on the lifter by the same factor it raises the lift.
Follow Comp's recommendation, sounds perfect to me. That combination will give you about 120 on the seat and about 325 open.

being that the cam starts to laydown at about 5500
you really don't need much more than 300. As rb said,, 325-330 should be plenty. Seat pressure is more important on a hyd-roller.
120-125 is the sweetspot.
