420 sbc questions??

I have a 75 400sbc that needs to be rebuilt. How much trouble would it be to stuff the 3.85 crank in there? Any grinding or special cams Etc. I need to know about? Anybody know a place I can get a 400sbc rotating assembly from fairly cheap? I need the crank, rods( 5.7s), and flat top hyperutectic pistons.
thanx,
njdaewoo

As far as clearance, it depends on what rods you use. Some will practically bolt right in, others you will hit water in 16 places trying to grind enough to gain clearance. In general, the cheaper the rods you use the more grinding you'll have to do, because they'll be variously worked over stock ones or copies of them perhaps made out of better materials, but no different design. Real racing rods are usually set up for such things and fit much better, but aren't cheap.

Check Internet Racer's Supply or Thunder Racing for rotating assemblies. But keep in mind, "stroked 400" and "cheap" don't belong in the same sentence.
