It's been sitting...
My 86 Z28 has been sitting now for about 3 years without being started. Needless to say I've been away for awhile. I know the battery is dead but is there anything else I should worry about before I try and start it? It has a full tank of gas (three years old) and three year old oil and fluids.

I would advise to change the oil, after 3 years who knows what that oil turned into (no offense) hmmm..... other than that the only thing I can say is to change the belts and hoses, they should be changed every two years. check the coolant and see if it is still good, look for leaks, pretty much do a basic check on the car and start it up. hope it still works

Pull your plugs and put a "little" motor oil in the cylinders, after sitting for that long I'm sure condensation had caused a wee bit of rust, the oil will just help ease the rings back into the cylinders, it'll smoke for a little bit, but well worth it.
