"American Designers" brand Gas Tank?
Do any of you guys happen to have a gas tank from Rock Auto (www.rockauto.com). The brand name of the tank is "American Designers", part# GM2721B. The cost of the tank with the filler neck is only 153 bucks (171 shipped), compared to the www.gmpartsdirect.com price of 245 (~300 shipped) for part# 10269091. I'd love to save that much money, but I dont want to buy a tank thats a piece of junk (bad seams or something, maybe?) Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
Moderators, you can lock this. I've decided to go with the el-cheapo. I can get that tank, the straps, and the sump for less than the price of just the GM tank. And since I'm just gonna be cutting a hole in the bottom of it anyway, it really isnt that big of a deal. If anyone wants to post comments though, be my guest...

They're a reputable company that has made repro tanks for years...I wouldn't hesitate to use one, esp vs GM, for cost reasons. I have noticed some parts stores are carrying them now too...I think I saw them at Pep Boys not too long ago.
