my exhaust changes color......

before my exhaust used to be purple from oil burning when i reved the engine. now when i rev the engine the exhaust is white.its not really purple anymore. i have a feeling this is coolant. what is the mostly likely cause? who else has experienced this? i need some info. possibly thinking about selling car.

definitly sounds like a head gasket to me. White smoke is coolent getting into the combustion chamber.
Check your oil, if it looks like a milk shake then chances are you blew a head gasket.
