gas cap problem

whenever i loosen my gas cap, a lot of pressurized air comes out. It comes out for like 5 seconds and it comes out pretty hard. Is this normal or do i have a problem?

when you run all your gas out, or most of it, it creates a vaccum in the tank, and it just releases the pressure when you take the cap off, completely normal...

My gas tank pressurizes too.
I though the charcoal canister was supposed to allow the tank to vent and it became plugged or inadvertently de-activated somehow.
Anyway, it doesn't seem to hurt anything.
