New Rear-End

i have an 87 T/A, can anyone suggest a new rearend? Mine is goin, it whines and seems like it slips sometimes. Any suggestions?

I would recommend going with a 4th gen rear. many people have done them here. You can get them for fairly cheap (250 I have seen) with 3.42 gears and disc brakes. It also depends on the wheels too. The 4th gen axle is wider than a 3rd gen rear.

There are other tougher axle like borg warner and ford 9" rears but the price goes way up. Also people have said they have had problems finding wheels that will fit both front and rear. Not sure if Ford uses a different bolt pattern or not.
