Like the tile says. Its not concistent but way to frequent expecialy right after start up. Ill pull out of the parking lot up to the stop sign usually no problem. I go to pull out and get about 1/2 a car length out and it stalls or bogs all most the point of stalling. It will with a little feathering of the throttle go again with usually a surge of power before bogging a little again.

It usually stops after I've driven alittle or the motor warms up. But it does it even on a warm restart.

The car is an 88 Camaro with the TBI 305 and auto. I recently did a tune up(plugs,wires, cap, rotor, control moduale) so I dought thats the problem. And I also have an open element, But the problem exsisted even before instalation. The car despite my eforts has never realy run "right" sometimes it runs just fine other times virtualy not at all. BTW it usually will not hold a steady idle or idle at all with out holding the gas.


Please help this is realy starting to get to me. If theres any thing I neglected to mentiion just ask.
Also it doesn't throw codes and real only gives me trouble in gear not to bad in park.

same exact car and the same problem i had...fuel pump mine did EXACTLY the same thing it would stall/run like crap for alittle while then suddenly it would start running fine and everything until turned off again...i changed so much crap until finally the fuel pump went completely out. im positive thats your problem dude. 30$ at autozone and about a day of work pick up a manual it walks you through it

ha yeah fuel pump is the most likely source of such a problem.

 

i know thats what it is...guy told me from the start thats what mine was but i was stupid and replaced a BUNCH of other things...wasnt it...then one day the pump died...i put in a new pump and it ran perfect

 

could it just be fuel pump relay?
