no power after rebuild
i have an 89 T/A(L98 bored .030 over, fully balanced, speedpro pistons, arp bolts, zz4 cam, decked heads w/3 angle valve job, 2200 stall, vette servos, 24# SVO injectors, vortech s-trim) im running without the blower till the motor breaks in. now here is my problem...
when i give it a little gas, theres a slight hesitation before it actually goes. once it goes, power and acceleration both seem fine from about 1500-2700 rpms or so. once it reaches around 3000, it just refuses to respond any further. no gain in power, no gain in speed...nothing. fastest speed i reached on a 2 mile stretch of highway was about 65mph....the car just wont pull past 3000 RPMS.
im still using the stock ECM so that could be PART of my problem. although i dont think using a stock ECM with my setup would hamper performance this much...or would it? also, timing is set at 6* so nothing wrong there.

yea i plan on checking that long with my fuel pressure. hell, ill probably end up checking every little thing there is. i have to drop the tranny anyway because i have a rather nasty oil leak from the rear main seal.

Just remember to keep it simple and check the small things first! I spent over $500 dollars and 3 days of work time on a starting problem..........................................................It was a bad ground!

I know it's a @itch to check, but could the cam gear off 1 tooth?
Did ya notice the distributor being set to a different position to achieve ur 6 degs?
Did ya re-connect the wire you disconnected to check the timing?
Fuel press OK?
Fuel filter plugged??
