Iridium sparkplugs?
I've heard about them, I looked at the Denso ones that cost an arm and a leg, but I've also heard about NGK iridium plugs. Has anyone used them? Do they just last longer like platinum ones are supposed to? Does NGK make iridium plugs for our cars, and can I pick them up at a local auto place like Pep Boys or something? I'm just wondering, got nothing better to do right now, I have new Delco plugs with less than 3000 miles on them, I'm just bored... I may get some to try when I get MSD coil, cap, rotor, and wires this summer with the header install.

Toyota uses Iridium (aka unobtainium) plugs. They're the only company I know of using them right now. They're supposed to be good for 125,000 as opposed to 100,000 for platinum. But you might have a hard time finding any.

Yeah, so far I've just found NGK and Denso who make Iridium plugs. I found the part # for the Denso's, they're 11.99 a piece!!! I don't think NGK even makes an Iridium plug for our cars, just the platinum and V-Power ones.

Just because Iridium is more expensive and lasts longer, doesnt mean it's actually a better conductor....
