TPI Mass Air Flow Box Compatible With 3.1 Litre V6 Engine?
Hey guys,
I look on ebay for items for my car, and i came across a TPI mass airflow box. It seems like it directs air from the holes for the foglights into the induction system of the L98's, and 5.0 TPI engines. Now my question is, can I ditch my crappy airflow setup for this nice ram air style air intake? Will I take on water when it rains and fry my engine. Is there anywhere to put a filter? Is it legal? It looks like it will bolt right onto the air intake on the engine's throttle body. Let me know, this sounds like a good idea!

rain should not be able to run up the tubes into the motor but if you're trying to drive through deep water (which is a stupid idea no matter what you're driving) I wouldn't worry about water. As for legal, depends on if you have emissions testing or not. modifications to the intake system is usually not emissions legal
