L98 heads/cam on my stock 350
I've got a 350 out of a late 80's/early 90's Chevy Pickup that runs real good, but I am looking for a little more power. The heads I currently have on there have a casting #14102193. From what I understand, these heads aren't very good. Would replacing these with L98 heads make a noticable difference? Would a L98 or LT1 cam help out any? I'm on a very tight budget, so if anybody has any other inexpensive suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

well for the money the l31 vortec heads would be hard to beat. Also I would just call any of the major cam companys and let them know what you have and what your wanting to get out of a new cam.Flat tappets are much cheaper.

Check it out^
As far as the LT1 cam with a carb,I don't know...
But I have an LT1 cam in my L98 TPI and it runs pretty good.
