big or small block ecm's????

big or small block ecm's????
i was wondering if anyone knows if they used the same ecm's for both big block and small block applications. a buddy of mine just picked up a really clean 454SS and i was wondering about chips.

I believe it's the 16147060 PCM but I don't know much about em.
You'll need to get the ecm/pcm number off the ecm and post it. Some early years had the 3 speed (THM400?), later years had the 4 speed (4L80e) tranny, it's really strange.
I believe it was in 94 when the went to the 4 speed tranny and might have switched pcms. Some other info I dug up said that the 90' SS used a 7747 ecm. If you get the actual ecm number then this would be easy.

The 454SS was made from 90-93. In 90 it had the gen 4 motor, turbo 400 tranny, and used the ecm part #1228747. In 91 they switched to the gen 5 motor, 4l80e tranny, and the ecm part # 16147060.
