Holley TBI Adapter... What TBI unit has same size bores?

I have one of these and a Holley Dominator Intake Manifold coming for my car early next week, and I wanted to know what size throttle body fits on this spacer? Would a L05 tbi work? or would I have to get a 454SS or Holley TBI unit? Is it possible to just bore out my L03 TBI to match.

Thanks for the replies, if any

Clint

Not sure I understand what you are trying to do but. small block TBIs have 1 11/16" bores (including l05) and big blocks and the Holley have 2" bores. The bolt pattern is the same. And, yes, it is possible to bore the stock manifold but since you're getting the Dominator, I'm not sure why you're asking. Hope this is some useful info.

IMO it would be easier to buy a bigger throttle body, if you needed it. what is your setup?

Still running stock heads, plan on going with Vortec heads/performer RPM intake later

If you're running the stock motor (basically) then use the stock TBI unit with the Holley intake. The bores on the intake will just be bigger (2 inches as opposed to 1 11/16 inches)

Thanks

That is pretty much what I wanted to know, whether or not it was time to move forward with a larger unit or not. I will definately do that when I get the vortec heads and RPM Air-Gap intake.

That hood has a fake shaker scoop bolted onto it. It was part of the Bandit II package, that had all of the pinstriping, hoodbird, etc. Right now I have a 86' Trans Am hood on it with a Harwood 2 1/4" cowl scoop to feed my car fresh air.

For more information on Bandit II, here is a site I made for it.

I was hoping you might have used a real shaker scoop. Oh well I'll just have to make my own.

I do have one from a 80 or 81 4.9 T/A. I did not use it because it would be too hard to get it to work. I know there are places that will make them custom to your car. I know someone who knows places. Let me talk to him, and I'll try and pass on the info.

Due to the intake I'll be running I'll probably have to make my own anyway. It's an RPM Air Gap with at least an 1" spacer/adapter.

Yea, that is the reason I went with a cowl, I have the Holley street dominator 300-36 intake, and the tbi adapter plate, It's very tall.
