well, as Tim says... "It's all about hook" So you're doing pretty good in that dept except for the radials. That'll hold you back. I'm gonna guess an et of 14.4 - 14.5 *IF* you've got everything running good and you can keep that street rubber glued out of the box. I hope I didn't miss anything... too many beers with dinner.

We have alot of the same mods except the 3.73 rear...and I run 15.3 with the occasional 15.2. I have read somewhere that jumping up from a 2.73 (what I have) to a 3.73 is good for 4-5 tenths if you hook well. So look for around 14.8-14.9. Also realized that if this is your first time at the track you will not "know" your car and what to do to make it run its fastest. That only comes from many runs and examining your time slips. So if it is your first time, don't be disapointed with slow runs. My very first run was a 17.4. I hated my car after that...people asked me if I had a V6!! Needless to say I slowly learned and run more respectable numbers now.
Another tip, look in the tech articles for something on converter lock-up. you can lock your converter up prematurely and it is good for another tenth or two

This isn't his first time but it IS his first time running enough fuel!!! I just talked to Jim, he said you guys adjusted the fuel pressure. I'm so gonna rag your *** about running lean like I figured all along. First thing I told you when you got the gears was that I thought it was running too lean just like when I got my gears and posi and ran a slower time, same reason.
I'm guessing 14.89 will be your first run. Then a 14.76 best for the day depending on 60' times. A steady constant opening speed of the throttle blades is the best way to run down the 1/4 with small tires. You won't turn good 60's because you won't be able to leave the line with your foot on the floor .
Tell us how you do and give me all the details.

My friend has a '92 bird with the same set up, except 3.42's w/ out a posi. He runs 16 flat(spinning). I bet you will run low 15's. Maybe a 15 flat, but as for those saying 14's that will be tough on those tires, plus, how many L98's do you see running mid 14's on up to 15 flat, most of them. That L03 isn't an L98 yet, even with the bolt ons. Good luck!

I'll probably run the TC lock-up switch...it used to be worth about .1 and 1.5 mph...the lock up suppossedly increases the enrichment very slightly...i think i've got the fuel issue under control now, finally...i'm gonna play with the timing a little before friday too...all of you are being are a lot more confident than i am as far as ET goes...im thinking between 15.3-15.0's simply because of the 60'...the car spins all the way through 1st gear rolling into the throttle...best 60' was only a 2.18 on the 215's....we'll find out friday...thanks guys

that is gonna be teh exact key to randy's success. those little 215's are gonna hafta be treated very kindly and he shoudl try to follow guys with real drag meat on their cars, slicks preferred.
with his mods i woudl say he could hit 90, 91, maybe even squeak a 92 mph trap speed. if he can get into the 2.0's for a 60ft, that could mena as fast as 14.8's, even if he scrapes more 2.1's out, prolly still be able to see low to mid 14.9's.
maybe some more testing at the Rt.29 speedway is on order before you go, what'd think randy hehe

sorry i didn't get back to u guys sooner...well friday was the scheduled date but due to my feeling like a** i didn't make it...i was pretty sick, Tim can vouch for me...i plan on going this friday...before then im gonna play with the fuel pressure and timing a little more, its set for WOT right now so it's dog rich at idle...i also plan on throwing on a short system exhaust ( ie out the y-pipe into some 3" tubing into a dynomax bullet which will dump before the rear)....it'll save some weight....i'll let u guys know what happens
