question about thermomaster chip in TBI

i was wondering if i was to get a low temp fan switch (on at 186 off at ~170) and ran a thermomaster chip and a low temp theromstate i know the coolant wouldnt heat up at all but if i was to swap in a high thermo in the winter would i still be able to get my heater working good? i was thinking i could because if i turn on the heater it would override the fan right? so the car could still get warm that way...i wanna geta chip and the fan switch but i dont wanna go threw the hassle of changing them all the time

I had a Thermomaster chip, 160 thermostat, and a ~170 fan switch. The heater would get hot it just took it a little while.

Hehehe, don't expect to much from a chip that just messes with ur timing slightly and ur air/fuel ratio. Personally, I would go with Ed Wright Fast Chips or go on ebay and find used chips for cheap. Cause chips can't wear so even when there used, they will perform like new. Just a thought. 121.00 for maybe 5hp is not very cost efficent.

Basically that is all u get from these aftermarket chips unless u do them urself. But I have heard better things about Ed Wrights Fast Chips so look into them.

Generic aftermarket chips are generally a waste of time, though I will say I've heard good things about the JET Stage II generic chip and Ed Wright's generic chips. But the best is custom, whether you get Wright to do it or yourself.
