i rebuild my lo3 305 put zz4 cam and stock bore falt tops, tbi spacer, and under drive pulley system. also bought custom chip from motorvation to make it work but computer will not read chip (4 diff chips). so the car is running rich. is there another way around fixing the rich prob? do i need chip? will a fuel press. regulator work?

 

Make sure you have atleast 17.5" of vacuum at the map sensor at hot idle. If not you can try advancing the timing alittle. Speaking of timing, does it advance when you rev it? I had a tbi truck that didn't & it ran rich, ecm solved that. Make sure the grounds to the ecm are clean & tight.

 

How rich are we talking? fouled plugs? What kind of intake are you running stock filter? whats it do without the filter? The chip problem is going to need to be worked out call the manufacturer see if they have any info!

 

plugs have not fouled running stock chip no engine lght and company has no clue wats wrong car runs good just rich and going through alot of gas have not checked vacum. and i havent adv. it yet engine only has 490miles on it
