Re: 305 build up
Read the sticky threads up top they have a list of stuff to do to get your TBI running strong. I know one of the best I ever did was headers and full performance exhaust. But check out those threads and see what you can do.

Re: 305 build up
Full exhaust , headers back with atleast 2.5 inch mandrel bend tubing, good set of heads, i would recomment Vortec 5.7 heads, they are the best bang for buck head you are going to find, u will have to machine them down to retain acceptable compression ratio, a good camshaft , most ppl swap Lt1 camshafts into l03 a really nice improvement, a good intake like a dual plane carb intake with a tbi adapter or one of the Holleys TBI intakes that come with 2 inch bores , maybe a 7.4 big block TBI throttle body for the matching 2 inch bores, to make all of that work you will need to tune your ecm for that to even make any difference in power, i recomment the EBL flash system.

Re: 305 build up
Do a search, there's lots of good info on building the 305. But the most important would be the tune. Being able to tune the car is important. Good heads good Dynamic CR and intake/exhaust will make it fly.
