Non-Egr Intake Manifold

Non-Egr Intake Manifold
Hello, I've been viewing this site for quite some time and I have found a lot of useful information here. This is my first post here, so bear with me.
Obviously I have a 95 truck, not a Camaro, but it has the same TBI setup that Camaros do. Its has a 350 and I finally got the exhaust the way I want it, with headers and such. On the intake side, I removed all of the OEM cowling and put an open K&N air filter on it, as well as a TBI spacer. Other then that the thing's stock.
Now, to my question. I've had this 670 cfm Holly throttle body sitting around for a couple years now and I finally acquired the flat connector to install it. I figure that since I'm changing the throttle body I might as well throw on a better intake manifold. I'm running on a budget so the Edelbrock TBI Performer is a little out of my range. On Summit Racing I found a nice Weiand carburated non-egr intake for a good price (I'm going to use a TBI adapter plate). Being that its non-egr, I suspect that my ECM will throw a code. Is there any way to fool the ECM on this point? There is also an EGR Holley Manifold that is a little over $30 more. Its not much, and my budget could probably handle it, but is keeping EGR worth thirty dollars?
I was also wondering if anyone else is running the Holley 670 TBI. Though my research I keep seeing that people are always having issues with. I guess they always either run too rich or too lean.

Re: Non-Egr Intake Manifold
I would not use a 2" TB on a engine with less then 280fwhp, that's around were the stock TB starts restricting.
Adjusting the idle and some tuning will be required with the 2" TB.
A few treads up the bad holley injectors are described. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/post...437-post5.html
Passing emission test may become a issue without EGR, depending on cam too.
If you have the stock heads, EGR does improve MPG a little, note it is only active during idle and light trottle cruising.
EGR can be desactivated permanently in the tune, if not required.

Re: Non-Egr Intake Manifold
Emission testing won't be an issue since my state doesn't test 1997 and older vehicles. So, basically I would just have to get a chip burned to deactivate the EGR? I might hold off in that case since I was also looking to get a cam. I might as well get a chip when I have everything I want, done to the engine. I would like to put a new manifold on it soon though. I guess I'll just remove the check engine light for now, in that case.
