A little Lo3 fun....need some info
Been searching and refreshing myself with my 92 RS 5spd and I would like some help picking parts for a top end rebuild since this car has a blown head gasket and the a**hole who did it offered to pay for full repair.
what head/intake/cam make for a good TBI build for a little fun?
oh and im sick of 4k shifts so the more the better

You are very limited with the TBI computer. You could do a LT1 cam swap, and maybe an intake upgrade - but you do head swap and your gonna need custom chip tuning. You be better off doing exhaust. There's just not much can be done with the TBI chip in stock form - it sees too much increase in air and it just dumps fuel on top of it, making it run worse than ever (been there, done that).

There is a lot of options if you are willing/capable of tuning. You will need fueling upgrades as well to make more power.
It really depends on what your budget is.

If you're on a budget just port the stock heads, get a 3704 intake off ebay and have the holes bored and slightly radiused with an LT1 cam. With some 3.73's, a posi and a tune it should be quite the peppy little motor.

Re: A little Lo3 fun....need some info
it currently has the edelbrock headers with a large flowmaster (dunno exact size but larger than 3") but im going with new headers.
I am capable of tuning but really not willing to on this engine but I will most likely port the heads and go with intake and lt1 cam. I have never ported a v8 head but I have plenty of experience with rotary/60v6 so anything I need to look out for?

Don't waste your time - the 305 TBI heads are best made into boat anchors.
If you do an intake and a LT1 cam and already have exhaust, your already pushing your luck - going to be getting dangerously close to overstepping the bounds of the stock TBI chip and getting into custom tuning territory to just get it to run at all.

so should I just look into a 350 tbi swap? I was a little worried about it since I have a t5 and not enough money for a t56 swap

You could - alot of folks are fine with the T5 as long as they don't get crazy - could probably get by on the T5 until funds come along for the T56. I think you need the 350TBI ECM chip (from a Caprice or truck) and a 350 knock sensor - I'm not real familiar with the 350 TBI swap.
